Beaver Creek, Vail Mountain, Breckenridge, Keystone and Crested Butte Announce Winter Opening Dates, Operating Plans and New Attractions for 2022-23 Season
Vail Mountain, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Crested Butte announced today their opening dates for the winter 2022-23 season, starting with Keystone's kick-off in October and running all the way until spring with Breckenridge open well into May. Keystone will open as soon as weather and conditions permit in October, thanks to its state-of-the-art, energy-efficient snowmaking system. Breckenridge and Vail will follow on Nov. 11, and Beaver Creek and Crested Butte will open on Nov. 23. All dates are weather and conditions dependent.

Vail Resorts extends season in Colorado
Vail Resorts is pleased to announce the 2020-21 ski and ride season will be extended at Beaver Creek Resort, Keystone Resort and Vail Mountain Resort. The extended season means more time on mountain and on the snow. Beaver Creek Resort Kicks off 40th Anniversary Season on Wednesday, Nov. 25 with Extra Emphasis on Safety
Beaver Creek is set to welcome back skiers and riders for its 40th anniversary season on Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 9 a.m. Following 2.5 feet of snow so far in the month of November, Epic Pass holders, who receive exclusive early season access, will enjoy more than 130 acres of skiing and riding across four trails and three lifts on opening day.

Beaver Creek Resort to Open Early for the 2019-20 Winter Season on Saturday, Nov. 23
For the second year in a row, Beaver Creek Resort will open early for the 2019-20 ski and snowboard season, thanks to the dedication and hard work of its snowmaking and mountain operations teams. Beaver Creek will open Saturday, Nov. 23, four days ahead of its scheduled Nov. 27 opening date.

Vail Resorts today announced that Executive Vice President Chris Jarnot will step down from his role, following an impressive 34-year career with Vail Resorts. With Jarnot’s transition, and in anticipation of the closing of the Peak Resorts acquisition, the Company has announced the creation of three new regional leadership roles to support Vail Resorts’ growing global portfolio.

Vail Resorts Announces Mountain Division Leadership Changes
Vail Resorts today announced a number of leadership changes to take place in its mountain division this spring. Doug Lovell, vice president and chief operating officer of Vail Mountain will retire from his position effective May 1, 2019. Beth Howard, vice president and chief operating officer of Beaver Creek Resort, will succeed Lovell, while Nadia Guerriero, vice president and general manager of Northstar California Resort, will be promoted to vice president and chief operating officer at Beaver Creek Resort to succeed Howard. These changes will also occur on May 1, 2019, and the search for Guerriero’s replacement at Northstar will begin immediately.
