Travel Made Easy

East Coast outdoor enthusiasts will now spend less time in transit and more time enjoying the scenic views of the Sierra Nevada. JetBlue Airways is now offering the only daily non-stop service between John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York and Reno-Tahoe International Airport.
SoCal skiers and riders can now take advantage of three daily non-stop flights out of Orange County, Long Beach and Los Angeles:
  • Alaska Airlines is offering service between Orange County, CA and Reno-Tahoe International Airport beginning March 16, 2016.
  • Jet Blue is offering service between Long Beach, CA and Reno-Tahoe International Airport beginning August 15, 2016.
  • America Airlines/United is routinely offering service between Los Angeles, CA and Reno-Tahoe International Airport.
Southerners are now able to access Lake Tahoe’s variety of activities with ease. Starting December 19, 2016, Delta Airlines will offer a non-stop service between Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport and Reno-Tahoe International Airport. The Atlanta-Reno flight will begin as three times per week service during the holidays, from December 19, 2016 until January 3, 2017. Then the service will be offered weekly, on Saturdays only, between January 7, 2017 and March 26, 2017.
Starting January 2017, Southwest Airlines will fly nonstop between Dallas Love Field Airport and Reno-Tahoe International Airport, offering passengers access to the best snow conditions and guest service found at Tahoe’s Vail Resorts within only 40 minutes.
2016-2017 Winter Season
Winter Ignite
From December 2-10, 2016, Heavenly’s season opening two-week celebration includes live music, pop-up DJ Cat parties and Unbuckle après parties, as well as concerts and entertainment at the nearby casinos. The event will culminate Dec. 10 with a free headliner concert in Heavenly Village.
Heavenly Holidays
From December 19-31, 2016, Heavenly Holidays transforms the Heavenly Village into a holiday winter wonderland with lights, decorations, music, ice sculpting, a Ripperoo Parade and more. It all cumulates on New Year’s Eve, with a live band and brightly-lit Gondola that descends over the crowd, signaling the start of the New Year and a festive fireworks show.

Unbuckle at Tamarack
Unbuckle at Tamarack, rated as the No. 1 après ski party in North America by Forbes and confirmed by CNN Travel, is Lake Tahoe's highest elevation après ski party featuring music, drinking, dancing and the lovely Heavenly Angels - ripping skiers by day and go-go dancers when the sun dips below the Sierra. Après takes place Friday-Saturday from 3:30-5:30 p.m. with half-priced drinks and food specials and, exclusively on Fridays and Saturdays, a guest DJ, the Heavenly Angels, giveaways, and lots and lots of dancing, both inside and outdoors. New this season, check out the themed party weeks surrounding key holidays, like Mardi Gras, Spring Break and many more. So, unbuckle those ski boots and snowboard bindings, and take your après game to the next level!
Tamarack Live
New to Heavenly last season, Tamarack Live is an all new après experience at Tamarack Lodge featuring the region’s hottest bands for live music sets Monday-Thursdays from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Kick back with drink and food specials starting at 3:30 p.m.
Tamarack Tailgate Parties
Don’t be afraid of missing your favorite NFL or basketball teams play because you’re up on the hill skiing/riding. The Tamarack Tailgate Parties on Sunday afternoons at Tamarack Lodge will feature drink specials, large TVs showing the games, and the Heavenly Angels. Now there’s no reason to choose between two of your favorite sports.
DJ Cat
Heavenly upped the ante in December 2013 by partnering with Aaron Hagar to retrofit a retired grooming machine into a custom-built mobile DJ station, complete with 52 high-output speakers, provided by Kicker Audio, and 1,200 watts of power. The DJ cat will be bringing the party to the mountain in various locations all season long.
The Gunbarrel 25
If endurance is your pursuit, don’t miss out on the 12th Annual Gunbarrel 25 on April 1st, Heavenly’s famous mogul run.
