Another Winter Storm Pounds Lake Tahoe, Setting Up an Epic March and April

26 February 2011

Lake Tahoe, Calif./Nev. – February 26, 2011 – Two-and-a-half feet of light, dry snow fell on Heavenly Mountain Resort (www.skiheavenly.com) over the last 48 hours, creating a winter paradise for skiers and snowboarders, and setting up conditions to be superb in the spring.
Year-to-date snowfall at Heavenly is up 46 percent.

“We’ve been living a charmed life this winter,” said John Wagnon, Heavenly’s vice president of marketing and sales. “Seven feet of snow in November, another 10 in December and now nine here in February. This is easily one of the best snow years in recent memory, which should make spring skiing and riding fantastic.”
