Heavenly, Northstar, and Kirkwood Resorts Announce Extended Ski Season

After record-breaking snowfall throughout the Lake Tahoe region in February, the Best of Tahoe Resorts, including Heavenly Mountain Resort, Northstar California Resort, and Kirkwood Mountain Resort announced plans today to extend the 2018-19 ski and snowboard season. Plans may change based on weather, conditions or US Forest Service approval.

Vail Resorts EpicPromise is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2018-19 community grants cycle. 93 local non-profit organizations received $1.9 million in cash, as well as additional in-kind product support aimed at supporting the issues that matter most to the Truckee and South Lake Tahoe communities. Across the company, Vail Resorts will give $11.4 million in support to more than 250 community non-profits over the upcoming year.

Rusutsu, Japan Joins the Epic Pass for the 2019-20 Winter Season

Vail Resorts today announced a long-term alliance with one of the most renowned resorts in the world for deep powder and tree skiing, Rusutsu Resort, located in Hokkaido, Japan, just 90 minutes from Sapporo and New Chitose Airport. Beginning with the 2019-20 season, the Epic Pass, Epic Local Pass and Epic Australia Pass will offer five consecutive complimentary days with no blackout dates at the three unique, interlinked mountains that make up Rusutsu Resort.

Vail Resorts Introduces Emma, Your Epic Mountain Assistant, the World’s First Digital Mountain Assistant to Provide Real-Time Information to Skiers and Snowboarders

Vail Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: MTN) today introduced Emma, your Epic Mountain Assistant, the world’s first digital mountain assistant to help guide guests while on their ski and snowboard vacation at nine of the Company’s resorts. Emma is an interactive mountain assistant who uses artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP) to answer a wide range of guests’ questions about their ski vacation. Emma will debut for the 2018-19 winter season at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone in Colorado; Park City in Utah; Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood in Tahoe; and Whistler Blackcomb in British Columbia, Canada.
